Het Britse Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) organiseert op 5 en 6 april 2017 aan de Universiteit van Birmingham een congres over ‘Trees, People and the Built Environment’. Daarbij gaat vooral aandacht naar de noodzaak om bomen langs wegen te planten.

Thema van de eerste dag is: Roads to place – why trees are an integral part of highway transport design.
Op de tweede dag wordt aandacht besteed aan de gezondheidsvoordelen van bomen: The Health crisis – the role of trees in improving human health (mental, physical, social and cultural).
